Since its inception in 2018, Summer Socials have provided opportunities throughout the summer months to build a community of faith within our congregation, welcome those who are new to the city and/or to church, and engage our city outside the walls of Central.
Summer Socials play a key role in advancing Central’s mission to build a strong community of faith in Jesus that enables people from diverse backgrounds to experience the transformative power of the gospel by providing opportunities to cultivate meaningful relationships. Welcoming believers and skeptics alike, these events run the gamut from park picnics to pizza making and provide an avenue to minister in an engaging way and to integrate new and existing people into the life of the church.

Beginning Saturday, June 17 | Weekly Walking Club
Join us every Saturday from 8-10am for a walk down the West Side. The group will meet by Chelsea Piers at 22nd St and 12th Ave and walk along the water. Saturday, June 10 | Central Run and Brunch
Join us Saturday, June 10 at 8am for a run through Central Park. We will meet at the 72nd/5th ave entrance to Central Park and have 3-6 mile options for the run. Friday, June 16 | Contemporary Dance Performance—Canceled due to inclement weather
On Friday, June 16, from 6:30-8:30pm, we'll gather in Bryant Park for a live dance performance featuring major dance companies and rising stars, who will perform Contemporary Dance routines curated by Tiffany Rea-Fisher.
