Mike Kelly proudly hails from the great city of Chicago, though he and his wife Shareen, a pediatrician, have now spent 25 years in another other great city: Philadelphia, where their children (all three in university) were raised. Mike taught Old Testament at Westminster Seminary for 20 years, and has also taught courses at The Center for Urban Theological Studies and Biblical Seminary. Prior to coming to Westminster, he spent several years in church planting and theological education in South America. He and Shareen are committed to urban ministry, with the peculiar focus of redeeming public spaces like urban parks and gardens. While loving the city, their primary avocation is hiking in the mountains of Southwest Colorado.
