Communications Manager

Hours worked: Full-time; FLSA Exempt

Reports to: Director of Communications

We are seeking a Communications Manager who has a passion for sharing the gospel and advancing the mission of Central. This is an ideal role for someone starting out in Communications who wants to gain experience on a growing team and who has a desire to continually learn and try new things. You will play an integral role in extending Central’s visibility and reach as you handle the execution of internal and external communications. In this newly created position, you will work across Central’s growing staff and report directly to the Director of Communications.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the livestream for Sunday worship services
  • Manage social media accounts and respond to engagement
  • Create a monthly analytics report for all platforms
  • Manage the weekly bulletin production
  • Format print and electronic materials such as sermon transcriptions and community group studies
  • Assist in maintaining and updating Central’s website and app
  • Assist in developing Central’s search engine optimization
  • Assist in creating content for various channels
  • Create a system for organizing assets such as photos, videos, and planning documents
  • Maintain the church-wide communications calendar
  • Design regularly scheduled and special email campaigns
  • Manage sections of Central’s database such as contact lists and registrations


  • 2+ years of experience in communications or similar work
  • Ability and willingness to work Sunday-Thursday
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Great multitasker
  • Resourceful problem solver
  • Self-motivated and desire and propensity to continually learn
  • Familiarity or experience working with the Adobe creative suite is an asset
